Online Groups

Please contact Linda if you have any questions or would like to be in a group.

These groups are open to anyone interested in meditation. Some groups meet on an ongoing basis and other groups meet for 1-3 months at time. There are openings in several ongoing groups at this point, and new groups will be starting in 2018. Check the Calendar for the current group schedule and contact Linda to be notified about newly formed groups.

Suggested donation: $10-50 per meeting. We encourage regular students to make an ongoing commitment with a monthly pledge.

Meeting online: Our online meetings are held via WebEx. Please familiarize yourself with our Online Meeting Information before your first meeting.

Meeting Times: All online meetings will be listed in PST/PDT (Los Angeles).  Please consult this time converter if you are in a different time zone:

Reflection Groups (1 hour)

These groups meet on an ongoing basis, taking breaks several times throughout the year. There are often openings in the already established groups, and new groups will be formed as more people become interested. Please contact Linda if you would like to be in a group.

These meetings are good opportunities for you to share your meditation sittings and listen to other people talk about theirs. We will be able to answer questions directly related to what you have experienced in meditation and help you become more aware of, and interested in, your meditative process. We suggest you have your meditation journal handy when you log in to the meeting. You don’t have to share, but you may want to at some point during the meeting.

The guidelines for these online meetings are the same we use for live meetings at a retreat or a workshop: Reflection Group Guidelines

Meditation and Discussion Groups (1.5 hours)

These groups are open to anyone interested in meditation.  You will need to inform Linda of your intention to participate so you can receive an invitation to join.

We will begin with a short dharma talk followed by a 40 minute silent meditation sitting and 15 minutes for journaling. After journaling we will take time for recollection of the meditation sittings and discussions about this approach to meditation and how it fits within dharma practice. These groups also provide an opportunity for you to become acquainted with a larger community of people interested in this approach to meditation.

We suggest you have your meditation journal handy when you log in to the meeting. You don’t have to share, but you may want to at some point during the meeting.

Study and Discussion Groups (1.5 hours)

These groups are open to anyone interested in meditation.  You will need to inform Linda of your intention to participate so you can receive an invitation to join.

Choosing a few topics, along with books and articles is an important part of group development and the way we study together within the approach. Groups will be formed around what you are interested in, and at this time we have a list of topics and groups that will start in 2017. If you have not spoken directly with Linda, please do so. These groups are another way to provide an opportunity for you to become acquainted with a larger community of people interested meditation and Buddhist Psychology and Philosophy.
