Multifaith Chaplain | Bates College
Full-time | $90,000-$110,000 annually
Lead spiritual life at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Reporting to VP for Equity and Inclusion, coordinate multifaith programming with diverse religious communities, support student-led spiritual groups, and provide pastoral care and crisis intervention. Serve as confidential resource under Title IX, hire and mentor Multifaith Fellows, manage chaplaincy staff and budget, and steward the Peter J. Gomes Chapel. Lead college ceremonies including Baccalaureate, Opening Convocation, and Commencement. Requires graduate degree in religious/theological studies and experience in college chaplaincy. Must demonstrate commitment to equity, creativity in multifaith ritual leadership, and ability to work with people across all religious traditions and those without religious affiliation.
